Frequently Asked Questions

General

We are Gamers. A simple answer, isn't it? But we are also an affordable server provider from Germany. Security is our most important priority, followed by stable quality performance hardware and affordable prices.
Single Thread Performance.
It basically tells you how strong a single CPU Thread is.
We use PassMark to measure it.
We currently have server locations in Europe and North America. Here is a list for all locations:
Europe: Finnland/Helsinki , Germany/Falkenstein , Germany/Nuernberg, Dallas/USA
First of all DDoS stands for Distributed Denial of Service which basically means making a server, service or network unavailable by overwhelming it with traffic from multiple sources. It is industry standard to have DDoS protection and yes of course all our servers are DDoS protected.
Technically servers are called "nodes" when they function like network points where data is processed/transmitted/stored but we just call them servers. Since we do not own physical hardware (yet), the hardware for one server differs to another. However the stability and performance of the servers we are using have minimum requirements to get the best and stable performance for an affordable price. We select our servers mainly by single core performance and as an example we are using the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D for our performance servers.

Billing

We accept the common payment methods:
Credit Card, GooglePay, ApplePay, PayPal
If you have One-Time Payment
You will get an E-Mail 3 days before the Due-Date for a renewal of the server. After the missed Due-Date your server gets suspended for 3 days and then deleted.

If you have a Subscription
If you have cancelled the subscription at least one day before the Due-Date your server gets suspended at the Due-Date and after 3 days it will get deleted.
We don't have one.
If you have purchased a server and want to cancel it you can via the dashboard. After the next Due-Date the server gets suspended for 3 days and then deleted.

Connection

We don't have an automatic system for that. Contact us via Discord or write us a mail at support@serveratelier.com
To connect your domain, add two DNS records to your domain settings: an A record pointing to your server's IPv4 address and a SRV record pointing to the server's port.
Use the server's IPv4 address instead of the domain or IPv6. This resolves most connection issues.
This is a no brainer: Yes of course!
This is also no brainer: Yes of course! Just contact us and we will make it happen as soon as possible.

Minecraft

Yes it is, whenever you want and very easily done. Check out the "Installation" section where you can easily install any forge/neforge/fabric modpack which is out there on modrinth/curseforge.
Yes of course, what a question^^. As gamers we never liked the idea of player slot restrictions however if you wish so, you can adjust the server.properties file to limit the player slot count as you like.
Yes indeed. Just upload them via the file controller at the "Files" section or use SFTP to connect to the server directly to upload any files and use them just like on a local hosted server. If you need help for this, just contact us via discord and we will help you right away.
Yes, Vanilla versions are updated daily (even tho there are not enough snapshots by Mojang^^ so this is kinda overpowered) and the search for Modpacks is completely live with direct access to all versions including the very latest ones.
